Cal/OSHA requires all California employers to have a COVID-19 Exposure Protection Plan that includes safety procedures to reduce the risk of exposure to an identified pandemic. The PPP is required in addition to an Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP).

Here’s how to create your COVID-19 Exposure Protection Plan

Step 1: If you’re in the construction industry download and customize the Construction Plan to fit the needs of your business.

For all other industries download and customize the Industry Plan to fit the specific needs of your business.

Step 2: Incorporate industry-specific information from the list below.

Every California employer should have an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) that contains a site-specific protection plan for preventing the spread of COVID-19. If you don’t have an IIPP or site-specific plan, you can use the State Fund IIPP Builder and State Fund Model Site-Specific Plan to create them.
